Intended Use:
This kit is used to qualitatively detect Zika virus nucleic acid in specimens of patients suspected of Zika virus infection in vitro, and provide an auxiliary means for the diagnosis of patients with Zika virus disease.
Zika virus belongs to the genus Flaviviridae and is divided into African type and Asian type. Zika virus disease is a self-limiting acute infectious disease caused by the Zika virus, which is mainly transmitted through the bite of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes. The clinical features are mainly fever, rash, arthralgia or conjunctivitis, and it is rarely fatal. According to the World Health Organization, neonatal microcephaly and Guillain-Barre syndrome may be associated with Zika virus infection.
Features:
- Highly specific detection for Asian and African strains of Zika virus
- PCR buffer and polyase mix contain Uracil-DNA glycosylase (UDG) and dNTPs eliminating carryover contamination
- Ready-to-use kit simplifies workflow & compatible with a wide range of real-time PCR devices
- The amplification can be completed within 30mins
